Dr. Steve Elias is a highly respected physician and internationally recognized expert in venous and lymphatic disease. He is a board-certified vascular and general surgeon, with additional board certification in venous and lymphatic medicine, and has played a pivotal role in advancing modern, minimally invasive vein care in the United States and globally.

Dr. Elias has devoted his career to the comprehensive management of venous disorders, including chronic venous insufficiency, varicose veins, venous ulcers, and complex venous pathology. He is widely known for his leadership in developing and standardizing office-based, ultrasound-guided, minimally invasive venous procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety, outcomes, and patient-centered care.

He serves as the Director of a comprehensive vein program within the Englewood Health system in New Jersey, where he leads clinical practice, physician education, and program development. His work has significantly influenced how venous care programs are structured and delivered within integrated healthcare systems.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Elias is a prominent educator, speaker, and thought leader in venous medicine. He has:

  • Served as Course Director and faculty for multiple national and international venous education programs

  • Played an important role within the American Venous Forum (AVF), particularly in physician training and fellows’ education

  • Lectured extensively worldwide on venous pathophysiology, duplex ultrasound, minimally invasive interventions, and best practices in venous disease management

Dr. Elias has contributed extensively to medical education, clinical research, and professional publications, and has held editorial and advisory roles supporting innovation in venous and lymphatic therapies.
