Dr. Takahiro Imai is a Japanese vascular surgeon with a focused clinical interest in venous disease and varicose vein surgery. He currently serves as Director of the Department of Vascular Surgery at Nishinokyo Hospital in Nara, Japan, where he is involved in both clinical practice and departmental management.
Dr. Imai graduated from Saitama Medical School in 1999 and completed his residency training at the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine in Sapporo, Japan. His formal training in cardiovascular surgery provided a solid technical foundation for his subsequent specialization in vascular and venous surgery.
In his daily clinical practice, Dr. Imai provides surgical treatment for varicose veins, with a particular emphasis on established, evidence-based techniques. He performs approximately 1,000 varicose vein procedures each year, representing a high-volume clinical practice within the Japanese healthcare system.
