Upcoming Academic Collaboration Signing Ceremony in Phlebology

Hosted by Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong
in collaboration with Asian Venous Academy and Dr. Smile Medical Group

Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong will host an Academic Collaboration Signing Ceremony in Phlebology, in collaboration with the Asian Venous Academy (AVA) and Dr. Smile Medical Group, marking the establishment of a structured, long-term academic collaboration in the field of venous disease.

With Phlebology as the core discipline, this collaboration brings together a teaching hospital, an academic platform, and a physician-led multinational medical services organization. The initiative aims to promote sustained cooperation in academic research, clinical practice, medical education, healthcare management, physician leadership development, and selected areas of medical innovation, including the responsible exploration of artificial intelligence (AI).

Grounded in evidence-based medicine and venous hemodynamics, the collaboration will focus on academic exchange, joint clinical discussions, physician training, and clinical observership programs. In parallel, participating institutions will engage in dialogue on discipline development, clinical pathway management, multidisciplinary teamwork (MDT), and the evolving professional and leadership roles of physicians within complex healthcare systems.

Within this collaborative framework, the Global CHIVA Program will be included as an important methodological reference. From a hemodynamic perspective, it emphasizes long-term management and individualized approaches to venous disease, serving as a reference for academic discussion and medical education rather than a prescriptive clinical model.

The signing ceremony represents the starting point of a progressive and academically driven collaboration mechanism. Through steady development, the participating institutions seek to expand opportunities for academic exchange and professional collaboration across Asia, while maintaining a clear commitment to scientific rigor and clinical responsibility.
