Bei MaThe Global CHIVA Working Group
Bei Ma is a visionary and collaborative leader driven by a passion for advancing global health and medical innovation. A seasoned global health and life sciences executive with over two decades of experience across biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, digital health, and medical devices, she is the Founder and CEO of The Pinea Group and serves on the Board of Directors of the Maryland Venture Fund Authority. In these roles, she leads the development of patient-centric, innovative solutions that advance healthcare worldwide, with a focus on global strategy, public-private-academia partnerships, international standards development and harmonization, strategic alliances, new business development, and global market access.
A key example of her work is the Global CHIVA Program, an innovative initiative in the global venous health community. Bei serves as Strategic Consultant and Chief Architect for the program at Inteleos, collaborating with Dr. Smile Medical Group and global CHIVA subject matter experts. She leads the strategic design, standards development, product and market development, and global implementation of education, training, and certification programs to advance the CHIVA technique worldwide.
Previously, Bei served as Vice President of Global Healthcare Business Development at the British Standards Institution (BSI) Group, where she drove international market expansion and standards-based solutions. She also held leadership roles at the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), advancing global public health initiatives and partnerships across East Asia and the Asia-Pacific region. Earlier in her career, she was a senior research scientist and global product marketing specialist at Mettler-Toledo International.
Bei currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Maryland Venture Fund Authority and is actively engaged in promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and cross-sector collaboration.
