We are pleased to announce the 18th International CHIVA Meeting, an international scientific congress dedicated to venous disease and contemporary phlebology.
The meeting will bring together leading international experts in phlebology, vascular surgery, and vascular ultrasound to exchange scientific knowledge, clinical experience, and evolving perspectives in venous hemodynamics and vascular intervention.
This congress continues to foster an open and multidisciplinary academic dialogue between venous hemodynamic preservation strategies and modern interventional approaches, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based clinical practice and collaborative knowledge exchange.
Scientific Program Overview
The scientific program is currently under development. Further details will be announced in due course.
The congress is expected to adopt a structured two-day scientific format, including plenary lectures, invited expert presentations, interactive case discussions, and ultrasound-based academic sessions.
Preliminary thematic overview:
Day 1 – Venous Hemodynamics and CHIVA Strategy
Focus on the physiological principles of venous hemodynamics and the CHIVA approach to venous disease, with emphasis on diagnostic precision, hemodynamic interpretation, and conservative treatment strategies.
Day 2 – Endovenous and Ablative Techniques in Phlebology
Focus on contemporary interventional approaches in phlebology, including endovenous and ablative techniques, technical considerations, and clinical outcomes within a modern evidence-based framework.
Registration Information
Registration details will be released in due course.
Registration fee: To be announced
Registration opening: Coming soon
Registration portal: Will be available on the official congress website
Further information regarding registration procedures, participation categories, and deadlines will be communicated when available.

The 2025 International Course on Venous Hemodynamics, organized by AIIFEM, focused on the fundamental principles of venous hemodynamics, including pathophysiology, diagnostic methodologies, and modern treatment strategies.
The program gathered international experts in vascular surgery and hemodynamic phlebology, with a strong emphasis on ultrasound-based evaluation and conservative, physiology-driven approaches to chronic venous disease. Discussions highlighted the importance of individualized diagnosis and treatment planning based on venous flow dynamics.
2024 International CHIVA Meeting – Hemodynamic Phlebology

The 2024 International CHIVA Meeting held in Bari under the organization of AIIFEM represented an important academic milestone in the field of hemodynamic phlebology.
The meeting brought together international specialists to exchange insights on the CHIVA method, its clinical applications, and long-term outcomes in the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency. Scientific sessions emphasized advances in ultrasound-guided venous diagnosis, hemodynamic interpretation, and conservative treatment strategies based on venous preservation principles.
