The 13th Annual European Venous Forum Hands-on Workshop (EVF HOW) will take place from 1–3 October 2026 at the Holiday Inn Kraków City Centre in Kraków, Poland.

Designed for clinicians seeking both a deeper understanding of venous disease and practical experience with contemporary diagnostic and interventional techniques, EVF HOW has developed a distinctive educational format that combines focused scientific lectures, clinical case discussions and intensive hands-on workshops.

From Scientific Evidence to Clinical Practice

The three-day programme will cover the diagnosis and management of a broad range of venous and lymphatic conditions, including chronic venous disease, superficial venous incompetence, acute deep vein thrombosis, chronic venous obstruction, venous ulceration, pelvic venous disease and lymphoedema.

Sessions will explore key clinical topics such as the pathophysiology and classification of chronic venous disease, venous symptoms, duplex ultrasound assessment, compression therapy, sclerotherapy, endovenous ablation, thrombus removal, venous stenting and the management of complex recurrent disease.

A multidisciplinary international faculty from across Europe will share current evidence, practical treatment strategies and experience drawn from real clinical cases.

A Strong Focus on Hands-On Learning

One of the defining features of EVF HOW is its emphasis on practical training. Delegates will rotate through dedicated workstations covering a wide range of techniques and technologies, including:

• Duplex ultrasound of the superficial, deep, abdominal and pelvic venous systems
• Radiofrequency and laser ablation
• Mechanochemical ablation
• Cyanoacrylate adhesive closure
• Foam and liquid sclerotherapy
• Compression stockings, wraps and bandaging
• Intravascular ultrasound
• Venous thrombectomy and stenting
• Pelvic vein embolisation and stenting
• Venous plethysmography and valve reconstruction

By bringing lectures, clinical discussions and workstation-based instruction together, the course aims to help participants translate scientific knowledge into practical decision-making and procedural skills.

An International Platform for Venous Specialists

The scientific faculty includes specialists from Poland, Germany, Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Slovakia, Turkey, Hungary and the United Kingdom.

This international exchange will provide participants with an opportunity to compare different clinical approaches, discuss challenging cases and build professional connections with colleagues working across the field of phlebology and venous intervention.

The official language of the meeting will be English.
